Happier Without You —Single (released April 10, 2026)

This harmony-forward contemporary folk waltz was written by Natalie and arranged and produced by Jonatha Brooke at a songwriters’ workshop last December. Jonatha’s dreamy background vocals add lift and warmth throughout the track. For anyone surprised to find they actually feel better after finally letting go—this song is for you.

Back To Richmond —Single (released January 31, 2025)

Most songs boil down to a universal human emotion—this one is about guilt. Did I do enough? Could I have done something differently to change the outcome? This is the saddest song Natalie has ever written about a personal experience. Best enjoyed with a cup of hot tea and a box of Kleenex.

Song Credits:

Natalie Wlodarczyk: lyrics and music, acoustic guitar, lead vocal
Shannon Stine: acoustic guitar, harmony vocal
David Wilson: violin, cello, mandolin
Jeffrey Smith: engineer, mixing, mastering, production (Studio 2100, Springfield MO)

If You Knew Me —Album (released May 23, 2023)

This album marked a new level of production and a bigger sound for The Shandies. It was their first time in a professional studio and they learned so much about the production side of making music. Heavier songs reflecting themes of loss, past trauma, and family dynamics are balanced out by playful tunes (Day Trip Tuesday, Problems) on this album that helped solidify their sound.

Song Credits:

Natalie Wlodarczyk: music and lyrics, vocals, guitar, harmonica
Shannon Stine: music and lyrics, vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar
Dave Wilson: violin, cello, mandolin, dulcimer, piano, organ, bass
Oran Thornton: electric guitar, bass, drums
Seth Darby: upright bass, horns
Ronna Haxby: flute
Jeffrey Smith: drums, percussion, bass, synths

The Mid-Americana Sound Sessions —EP (released January 28, 2022)

Home for months with no shows to play, these songs were born deep into the Covid-19 pandemic and recorded in the home studio of our friend, fellow songwriter Barak Hill. Realigned was our take on the hopeful human spirit as the world shut down, while Embers dives into darker territory. The Charade was inspired by the 2019 film Portrait of a Lady on Fire.

Song Credits:

Natalie Wlodarczyk: music and lyrics, vocals, acoustic guitar
Shannon Stine: vocals, acoustic guitar
Molly Healey: violin, cello

Barak Hill: engineer, mixing, production, photography, layout, design
Will Reeves: mastering

Begin Again —Album (released May 22, 2017)

Our first album was recorded in Shewmaker Hall at Drury University with our friend, musician and KSMU radio host, Jimmy Rea. We were totally green—finding our sound as a duo, learning about recording, and still a new couple on top of it all! We love to look back and see how far we have come musically and as producers of our own music. The opening track, Reason To Wait, was the first original song we ever performed together publicly, back in 2016 when we first formed The Shandies, and we still perform it regularly today—it’s a local favorite!
